1. Introduction
Pinctx (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a travel stampbook for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how it is stored, and what choices you have.
Pinctx is designed as a local-first app. Your cities, landmark pins, collage pages, photos, voice notes, and preferences are stored on your device. We do not operate a Pinctx user account or cloud sync service.
2. Information stored on your device
When you use Pinctx, the following data may be created and saved locally on your iPhone:
- Travel content — city folds, landmark names, captions, tags, favorites, trip dates, and collage layouts.
- Media files — pin photos, collage preview images, optional cover photos, and optional voice notes stored in the app’s private storage.
- App preferences — traveler name and avatar, city accents and order, collage drafts, reminder settings, and Pinctx Coins balance.
This data remains on your device unless you delete it in the app (for example via Clear All Data in Me) or remove the app.
3. Information we do not collect
Pinctx does not require you to create an account. We do not operate servers that receive your pins, photos, collage pages, or voice notes. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Device permissions
Pinctx may request the following iOS permissions. You can deny any optional permission and still use most features.
- Camera — to capture landmark portraits for pins.
- Photo Library (read) — to import existing photos into pins or city covers.
- Photo Library (add) — to save collage images or postcards to Photos when you choose.
- Microphone — to record optional voice notes on pins.
- Notifications — to deliver optional local collage reminders you schedule while creating a pin.
- App Tracking Transparency — on supported iOS versions, the system may ask whether Pinctx can track activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, Pinctx continues to work. Declining does not affect access to your on-device stampbook data.
Permission choices are managed by iOS. You can change them anytime in Settings > Pinctx.
5. In-app purchases
Pinctx offers optional Pinctx Coins packs as consumable in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store. Coins can be spent on premium exports such as City Travel Zine PDFs and saving collage images to Photos.
Payment is processed entirely by Apple. We receive purchase confirmation from Apple to credit coins in the app; we do not receive your full payment card details.

6. Data sharing
We do not share your on-device stampbook data with advertisers or data brokers. Information may be shared only in these limited cases:
- When you choose to export or share — for example saving to Photos, exporting a PDF, sharing a postcard, or using the iOS share sheet.
- With Apple — when you make an in-app purchase or use system services (notifications, permissions).
- If required by law — to comply with applicable legal obligations.
7. Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept on your device for as long as you keep the app and do not delete it. You can remove all app data using Me > Clear All Data. Uninstalling Pinctx removes local app data from your device, subject to iOS backup behavior if you use iCloud Backup.
8. Children’s privacy
Pinctx is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will assist with deletion steps on the device.
9. International users
Pinctx stores data on your device. If you use the app outside your home country, your data remains on the device you use unless you choose to back up the device through Apple services.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Pinctx after an update means you accept the revised policy.
